Abstract

The foundation of a nation's development is its sustainable development goals, which seek to make the world a better place. The primary feature of this development is that it maintains equity by shining its light on every sphere of the economy and society. The primary goal of the SDGs is to advance sustainable development without impeding the needs and ambitions of future generations. This paper's primary goal is to concentrate on the idea that "Quality Education" is the driving force behind a nation's progress. India's education system is at a pivotal moment with the introduction of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which seeks to rejuvenate and reorganize the country's approach to education. The main characteristics, goals, and implications of NEP 2020 for sustainable development are the main goal of this paper thorough analysis. To advance fair and high-quality education in India, this study explores how NEP 2020 aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the UN. This study finds opportunities, obstacles, and synergies for promoting sustainable development through education in India by carefully analyzing NEP 2020's provisions and how they relate to particular SDGs.
